FOCALISTIC Teams Up With JazziQ for “GUPTA”

Featuring Lady Du, Mellow, and Sleazy, FOCALISTIC and JazziQ’s “GUPTA” is a slow burn amapiano song

Denying FOCALISTIC’s lyrical prowess in amapiano is equivalent to claiming the sky isn’t blue. Time and time again, the Pretoria native has proven that his pen is of great value in the music space, particularly for his catchy hooks and punchlines.

Teaming up with JazziQ, FOCALISTIC joins this slow burning amapiano track alongside Lady Du, Mellow and Sleazy.

The name Gupta is known to all who watch the news or read the papers. While the infamous Gupta family’s wealth and overall engagement in South Africa has been rooted in criminality, FOCALISTIC maintains that it’s possible to live lavishly but do so by working hard. The hook loosely translates to, “I want to be like Gupta, the money is the scooter, we’re all going to climb on top of it,” FOCALISTIC explains.

Of hood dreams, FOCALISTIC believes, “We all want money, we all want to live like Gupta, nevermind the bad side. If we can find the right way to make money, the right way to be like Gupta, the right way to climb the money, we’re definitely going to do that.”
